Torturous Descent

In the early fall of 2022, the brutal death metal band known as Torturous Descent was born from the ashes of several metal bands. Lead vocalist Shawn Wright and lead guitarist Nick Temoshok Roberts built Torturous Descent’s sound on old school  thrash, grind, and death metal that stays true to its aggressive and chaotic roots. Shawn, formerly of Extermination Angel and Disease called Man, and Nick who performed with Gorebore and Symphony ov Dissonance, recruited John Diaz on bass who was a member of Dwelling Madness and Season of Fear. Shortly after that Matthew Marzolf joined having previously played drums for M.O.L.D, Out of Body and Phantasmagoria, adding his lethal style in the fold. Finally David Morgan joined to complete the lineup contributing his guitar ferocity to mix. 

Most notably Torturous Descent has opened for Extreme Metal heavyweights Defeated Sanity & Stabbing in early 2023, and then went on to play Maryland Deathfest in 2024. The Festival featured 103 bands from all over the world and is arguably the most prestigious event in Death Metal music. Now with the imminent release of their new music, Torturous Descent is primed to introduce a new era of sonic grinding death to a world in chaos.
